Throughout August, your Priory Vale team — Alex Hughes, Vinay Manro and Leanne Stevenson — remained active, visible, and focused on the issues that matter. From community events to highways concerns, they have continued to represent residents, protect green spaces, and strengthen local engagement.
✔ Supported and attended the Draycott Sports summer camp for young people and young carers
✔ Backed the campaign to protect allotments from future sale or development
✔ Proposed and supported an outline Orbital Market plan to boost small local businesses
✔ Raised resident concerns on hedges, drainage, buses, parking, and delivery vans
✔ Reported environmental issues including tree health and litter hotspots
✔ Attended and supported community events such as the Summer Extravaganza, Bournemouth Day Trip, Haven Coffee Mornings, Memory Café, Summer Reading challenge, and the Vintage Swing Tea Dance
✔ Engaged directly with local businesses, including Amazon and MuddySquad
✔ Welcomed the improvements of the new bus boulevard for town centre regeneration
✔ Pressed Swindon Borough Council for overdue Orbital road repairs this winter
