Westfield Way and Thames Avenue Roadworks

No ideal diversion route with both sets of works taking place at the same time

Cllr Vinay Manro has informed Priory Vale residents about some upcoming roadworks which may impact travel times. He has contacted Cllr Rob Heath and Cllr Rajhia Ali but has not received any response from them. We have also contacted them but have received no acknowledgement.

We are not sure why they are not replying or wanting to help residents.

There are roadworks scheduled on Westfield Way and Thames Avenue in early April.

Once I became aware of these works I asked Swindon Borough Council, if one set could be done after the other as these routes would be a natural diversion for the other.

Both sets of works will have temporary traffic lights in place

As it stands both sets of works will take place with some overlap, which may cause delays.

Ward Councillors for the area have not questioned the works at all, and my ability to influence that is not currently in place.

This is why you need people representing you that understand the concern of residents and pay attention to what is going on!
