Swindon Borough Council has now confirmed that the failing stretch between Thamesdown Drive and the Orbital roundabout is their responsibility. After I raised this with the cabinet member on 19 August, he confirmed resurfacing is scheduled for December. At long last, repairs are on the way.
This is a start. Thank you to all the residents who have supported this and kept pressing for answers. Your persistence has made a difference.
These questions now remain:
❓Why schedule works during the busiest period of the year for the Orbital Shopping Park?
❓Why not sooner?
❓What exactly is the scope of the repair. Will this be a full resurfacing or just patching?
