Out and about talking to residents

Out today speaking with residents about local concerns and issues. I managed to speak to 42 households with some great conversations.

Damaged footpaths were top of the list. Swindon Council set aside nothing for Priory Vale. I want fair funding, regular repairs and quicker action when damage is reported. Every problem seen or shared with me today is now logged and I will keep you updated.

We talked about vandalised trees. I will see what can be done with this unusual damage.

Missed bins came up too. The warm weather causes angst with residents when bins are missed.

Weeds blocking gulleys were another worry. Weed spraying has not been done by Swindon Council again this year but Haydon Wick Parish Council have stepped up to keep the area looking clean and tidy.

Education placement queries. Those on waiting lists for places need extra guidance.

Many asked about the Oasis. I will share an update soon.

I also stopped to admire our play parks. Thanks to Haydon Wick Parish Council for keeping them so well cared for. They show what good looks like when we look after what we have.
