How Barnes coaches support local residents

This weekend at the Orbital Market I met Barnes Coaches to speak with them and thank them for their continued support of Haydon Wick Parish Council trips. Barnes Coaches, based in Swindon, provide affordable travel across the UK. Their day trips and holidays give many people the chance to visit places they might not otherwise reach.

I took the opportunity to stop by and speak with Jason and Rachel from the Barnes team to express my thanks in person. It is reassuring to see trusted local companies helping Priory Vale and Haydon Wick residents enjoy days by the coast, theatre visits, Christmas markets or shopping trips without the worry of driving or parking. This support benefits not only parish trips but also families, community groups and older neighbours who value reliable and good value coach travel close to home.

One example is this summer’s coach trip to Bournemouth. We have two dates available, Monday 4th and Monday 18th August 2025. The coach will depart from the GLL Haydon Centre car park at 8am and return from Bournemouth at 5.30pm. Tickets are just £15 per person.
