Haydon Wick residents are in for a treat this weekend as Better Leisure Centres host their Open Weekend on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July. The Haydon Centre & Gym, right at the heart of our community, is offering a fantastic range of completely free activities suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
Haydon Centre & Gym highlights include:
Free Pickleball Lessons – Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to try out one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports.
Free Gym Sessions – Open to adults and juniors. Whether you are starting out or getting back into fitness, you can enjoy a session at no cost.
Free Fitness Classes – From high-energy Circuits and Body Conditioning to relaxing Yoga, there’s a class for everyone, led by qualified instructors throughout the weekend.
Link Centre Activities
Not far from Haydon Wick, the Link Centre is putting on a brilliant programme of events:
Free Learn-to-Swim Taster Sessions – A great opportunity for children or adults to experience swimming lessons.
Free Ice-Skating Taster Sessions – Glide onto the rink with free sessions open to beginners and casual skaters.
Free Studio Classes – Including HIIT and Women’s Strength Training for those wanting a group workout.
Squash on a Portable Court – A chance to try squash with a unique portable court set up at the Link.
Dorcan Recreation Complex
If you’re in the east of Swindon, Dorcan is offering:
Free Swimming Lessons for adults and children.
